Why Should You Have Regular Massages

I am a Qualified Therapist in: Indian Head Massage , Reflexology, Aromatherapy Massage,  Swedish/Sports Massage , so I know the BENEFITS of a good Massage.

There are all sorts of reasons why we should have regular massages.

Why Should You Have Regular Massages

Here is a piece I found that I thought very interesting:

The average NHS employee is off sick for 10.7 days every year – more than in any other public sector organisation.

The figure, which compares with just 6.4 days per worker in private firms, is thought to cost the service £500million a year.

A new Government-endorsed report says health and wellbeing must become central to the NHS. One hospital trust in Cambridge is now offering health and fitness advice and monthly 20-minute massages as part of a de-stress day to boost staff health.

The report by Dr Steven Boorman, the man credited with slashing sick days at Royal Mail, said there should be more focus on keeping NHS staff healthy.

Disorders like back pain, stress, depression and anxiety, which account for over half of days off, also need attention.

So you see most peoples jobs cause some problem for them but it is also very very relaxing, Sports/Swedish Massage & aromatherapy massage are usually mainly used for relaxation and most people think that they are purly just for luxury, but can also be used for people with problems such as joint pain, muscle pain and other ailments such as: colds, arthritis, asthma, pancriatic problems, calming, blood flow, cellulite, skin problems etc. everyone should have regular massages, as it helps keep the cirulation going and can help reduce blood pressure and eases aches and pains.    How to Become a Massage Therapist

A career in massage therapy involves so much more than making people feel relaxed. Massage therapists use modern and old techniques to speed up the healing process, reduce pain and relieve stress. Massage therapists need to have the sensitivity to work with patients and improve their well being. While some areas don’t have any licensing regulations, others require massage therapists to attend an accredited massage school and pass an exam before they can practice massage therapy.    Is Massage Therapy for You?

If you want a career in massage therapy, you need to do some research first. Find out what your area's licensing requirements are. Also check with your county or city because they may have certain requirements, even if your area does not. You also need to decide which type of massage therapy you want to pursue. Some areas you could consider are reflexology, swedish massage, sports massage, Indian Head massage or animal massage. Once you have decided which direction you might like, talk with massage therapists that practice that type of massage to get more information.

Some companies that may hire massage therapists are hospitals, corporate offices, health clubs, spas, sports medicine or physical therapy clinics and chiropractic offices. Once you have gained some experience, you may want to start your own business.

Massage is not just for women.

Men, Babies, Children, SN Children, Elderly and Cats & Dogs can benifit from massage too. My dogs love it especially working dogs and elderly dogs with arthritis of course the young can get this also, and will definatley benefit from an aromatherapy massage.
